Welcome to Portland Eats! Join us as we explore our beautiful city, it’s unique neighborhoods, and its creative makers–one restaurant, cafe, bakery, coffee shop, food cart, or farmers market at a time.
What a crazy, fun, whirl-wind year, full of all the challenge and adventure of launching a new business and new career. I’m now officially the marketing director for SkyBlue Portland Real Estate Group and, after months of study, a licensed Portland Real Estate Broker. Because a girl has to eat.
And because my interest in all things culinary is long entrenched, I love to explore Portland’s restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, bakeries, and food carts. And share my eating adventures on the Portland Eats Group Page, as well as on my blog, LunaCafe. I also devour all the news, local and national, about Portland’s evolving culinary landscape and share it with you on FaceBook.
And now here, on the Portland Eats blog. Do you see a theme emerging?
This is what happens when you go with the flow. Much to my surprise and delight, I’ve become the foodie broker. Who says you can’t have it all?
James Bradley and I moved from the Seattle burbs to downtown Portland a decade ago in pursuit of new adventure–from a remote country home on five acres to a city home overlooking a neighborhood called the Pearl.
It’s fair to say that this life-changing move was spurred largely by the creative energy we always feel in Portland. And nowhere is that energy more palatable than in Portland’s vibrant, ever changing food scene.
It’s the heartbeat of this mighty gastropolis. Portlanders live to eat.
So welcome to Portland Eats–where we’ll explore our beautiful city, it’s unique neighborhoods, and its creative makers together–one restaurant, cafe, bakery, coffee shop, food cart, specialty food producer, or farmers market at a time.
Because this is Portland. And there’s no better place to be.
